Don’t ask. I got caught in jury duty (ick) and then family was sick and it was important to spend time with them. I’m trying to get back into the swing of things, and be a “good lil’ girl” about blogging again. So, here I go sharing a bit of a new adventure that I am on with my mom. I posted below about how she had her own crafting shop, but I have joined her by offering digital artwork for crafty peeps like us. It’s Tuesday, what a perfect day to show Mom some love. Okay, any day is a good day – but I chose this day to write a featured, and ultimately biased post about her design shop on Etsy. She is ramping up business to offer all kinds of goodies to crafters like us – fun scrapbooking kits, paper, juicy little stickers and fun ephemera to allow our creative minds run wild. Okay, for those that don’t know I became a huge Leverage fan this year (TNT). Yes – I was a little late to become a Grifter – but seriously one of those times it is better late than never.
Really really really good show, great actors with chemistry and tons of fun and techie toys along the way. Anyway, I just heard a tweet about this cool video showing sneak peaks about the upcoming Season Premiere. How exciting!!! Enjoy if you are a fan, and if you are NOT then you are in for a treat. Jump on the bandwagon, this is one you won’t want to get off.
I tried to dabble in polymer clay, because as a jewelry designer I was trying to expand my “mediums”. Yeah, well wasn’t as popular as I hoped. It’s okay, I know my niche is web design and I am really happy there. BUT, I also know how to spot a really good jewelry designer when I see one and Olaria Studios is right there at the top of my list. Just noticed her recently on IndieFixx, okay saw it today, but it was love at first site. I wish I could work with clay like Amy does. So beautiful, earthy and rooted in nature. I saw these and fell in love with them – as I do all wonderfully designed things with a beautiful purpose. I mean come on, they are the coolest boots! Not only are they stylish, can be worn various different ways, and are unique as heck – but they also are animal and people conscious. Totally vegan boots, and Toms’ movement is that with every purchase of shoes he gives a pair to a child in need. I fell in love with them all over again after reading the story behind Toms and the business. Check them out, buy a pair, hug ‘em and love ‘em – and a child will have a pair for themselves too!
I’m tossed between brown or black. Hmmmmm…gotta think this one through, or I will find that I end up with (2) pairs.
I found these absolutely gorgeous rings online, and darn if I remember how I stumbled upon them. No matter, they are found and I am in love. Check out these gorgeous rings, made with real gemstones and acrylic. I have signed up with a few blogs recently, to advertise my business, trying to reach out even more to a new market.
